Pezzner - The Tracks Are Alive
It's fairly safe to say Pezzner has injected a breath of fresh air into dance music since he released his debut EP on Freerange back in 2008. So, when we asked the Seattle based producer to put together his debut LP for Freerange, we knew things would come together fairly quickly, and here it is....
The Tracks Are Alive is loaded with the kind of leftfield, organic sounding house which is at once club orientated but with enough interest and depth to keep the home listener totally absorbed. Pezzner has a very unique sound and isn't afraid to push things in a fairly abstract direction sonically.
Our favourite highlights include the deep, vocal track 'Fine Me' featuring Larissa Kapp, 'Almost Here' which is Pezzner in his element and the title track 'The Tracks Are Alive', which toughens things up nicely.
That said, having 80 minutes to play with has set Pezzner on fire and we just know you're gonna dig the wholesome, intricate house and blissed out electronica he's delivered.

Bassfort - Dixtrit
Jimpster was first introduced to this track by Rainer Trueby and instantly began his pursuit for the people behind this stunning tune in the hope of being able to introduce it to the world via Freerange.
What can we say? Well done Jimpster and what a track, just in time for summer!
Dixtrit is one of those tracks that sounds totally effortless, almost naive, as it oozes silklikefrom the soundsystem . Like the best house music being made today, Dixtrit seems to cross genres taking in the deeper techno of say Carl Craig or Ame mixed with an organic and live sounding jazz influence. The result is a track that makes a statement and stands out a mile wherever or whenever you play it, hypnotizing the dancefloor at every opportunity.
In addition to the original we have a remix from Jimpster who keeps the original vibe intact but adds percussion, more live-sounding drums and some extra keyboard parts into the mix. A solid rolling groover if ever there was one.

Lovebirds - My Man
Lovebirds is no stranger to Freerange, having given us The Rat EP back in 2008 as well as his remix of Milton Jackson's Crash.
With his latest offering, Lovebirds treats us to more warm, fuzzy and groove-heavy delights in the style we've come to know and love.
My Man is up first with its loping beats and intense gliding pads. With a roughed up remix from KiNK, and 'Alright', a monster track, Lovebirds will have the dancefloor rocking till the break o dawn

Release of the month
Andreas Saag is a Freerange Veteran, releasing music with us since the very early days under his Stateless and Swell Session guises and it's nice to welcome him back to the fold once again.
Andreas has been keeping a relatively low profile release wise, over the last couple of years but we're very pleased to say, he's really hitting his stride right now and what we have here, is an EP of what, Andreas himself consider, his most club focused work yet.
This release contains 5 tracks. Kicking things off is the very 'unfreerange like' title track 'People Say' which has a more techno edge. With remixes from Jimpster and Pol_On, bringing it back to a more housey territory this is one smart release to get your hands on.

Mathias Mesteno is a new boy to Freerange but with this monster package, we reckon he's brought us his best work yet!
This artist has crafted, for our pure enjoyment, an EP of beautifully deep and intricate, yet stripped back house music.
'Teething' kicks things off and sets the bar high. 'Dikrolled' is up next and does not fail to meet the standard, we're treated to a lesson in deep and dubby house, tailor made for warming up the vibes during the early doors.
Finally 'Inbetween' is a house track laced with summer sunshine and general good feelings all round,
